Rockin' the Home Crowd

by Dickie Sweetnutz
Yeah. You know that the 187 Squad rocks mad shows all over the world. We only play the most prestigious venues, and we never go onstage without a sell-out audience waiting to see the best group in music history. But being the hardcore Gz that we are, we never forget where we came from. That's why we recently came back to our home city of Isla Vista to do a party that no one from that town will ever forget.
Now don't get me wrong, we ain't doing any shows for free. We got crazy paid like we always do. Strictly six figure salary when we get on the mic, and that's when we doing it for charity, or, in this case, hometown love. After adding up about 250 financial aid checks, we were satisfied with the earnings and proceeded to set up for the big event.
There ain't nothing like getting jocked by IV sluts before a show. Even tho we didn't do any radio promos or any of that stuff, word had obviously gotten around. The streets were shoulder-to-shoulder full of ladies waiting to get a piece, knowing they would be tossed out of our room as soon as they performed. Well anyway, about 15 hoes and 10 OE forties later, Aceop and I were ready to hit the stage.
We decided to open the party with our biggest hit, the current smash single "Get Off." Everyone knows this song. Everyone has seen the video. Everyone went crazy. As soon as I calmly spoke, "Now Ace be nimble..." the roof blew off.
Aceop and I proceeded to freak the rest of the song while a few crew members kept the gats on lock in case some playa hataz were in the spot. Valley Bomb's Media Pimp Regulator oversaw the whole scene with his keen eye, while up-and-comer Flowmaster M learned some ropes about handling the groupies. E-Class of the VCGz was also in the spot, spending most of his time getting blunted. Playing hype man was Zak and Gangsta Ed, newly discovered talents of the Squad.
After "Get Off," Ace segued straight into "Layin' Pipe," the summer anthem of '99. Every word from our mouths was mimicked by the huge crowd. As well as the audience knew the words, they couldn't say them in time with us due to their lack of skillz.
Once we finished "Layin' Pipe," we were out. The people chanted for more, thinking this was the typical act with a big encore. We ain't going out like that though, cuz we was out for real. What do these people expect; like I said before, we only got six figures. Consider the party rocked and the groupies hit. Peace.
